Welcome to the 2008 Best of Interop Awards

The Best of Interop Awards recognize exhibitors that have made significant technological advancements in specific category areas. The winners in each category represent the products that the judges believe have the most significant technical impact on their segment, and are helping to move business technology forward.

A panel of award-winning editors and experts from InformationWeek judged nominees in these months preceding Interop 2008 Las Vegas, and selected the winners.

The award program offered the judges a unique opportunity to review some of the world's most innovative technologies on a point-by-point basis. Winners were announced in an award ceremony at Interop 2008 Las Vegas on Tuesday, April 29 in the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.

Eligible products must have been announced on or after January 1, 2008 and must have been available for public viewing at Interop 2008 Las Vegas. In addition to naming a product "Best of Interop", the judging teams chose a winner for each of the following categories:

• Network and Application Performance Optimization
• Data Center and Storage
• Infrastructure
• Network Management, Software and Services
• Security
• Software
• VoIP and Collaboration
• Wireless and Mobility
• Best Start-Up Company
• Best Green Solution
